Stuff about me

I'm blessed with a wonderful husband, Mark We have two fabulous daughters, Ashley & Paige, and three spoiled fur-babies, Henry, Ruby and Jewel. Life is hectic, but wonderful.



I've finally realized my dream of publishing my own designs. Check out my website


My birthday is October 1, which makes me a libra.


I'm a perfectionist which drives my husband and daughters crazy.


Since five generations of my family have lived within 20 miles of each other, I may be one of the few true Colorado natives.


I'm a total animal person and the quickest way to piss me off is to tease or harm an animal.


I'm a compulsive shopper which also makes me a compulsive stasher


Unless I live to be 685 years old, I'll never use up all my stash. Needless to say my daughters will be cursing me when I die and they have to clean out my craft room

I'm stitching models right now. I'll have to figure out a way to post pics without giving too much away. image

What I do now vs what I want to do in the future

Made my designing debut at the 2008 Nashville Market and had a wonderful time. I guess that means I'm a real designer now, not just a "wanna be". Check in with me periodically, I'm working on the web site and some new designs for the online show in April.

My Addictions

Wow, let's see. I love to cross stitch, knit, quilt and scrapbook. But I also collect antiques and love to garden. Then there's the shopping, well, what can I say...it's a disease.

    Don't know if there is still space available, but it is in Winter Park. Don't remember the exact dates, the third weekend in September, I think.

    That sounds like fun! I go to Fanci mats and more up in Denver (Littleton, actually). Where do you shop for supplies?

    Have you ever done their stitching retreat? This will be my 4th or 5th year and I can't wait. We should definitely get together, we could meet at FanciMats and have lunch after.

    I'm a couple hundred miles south of most of the southern-most fires in California. This time. But there's one that's now under control (hopefully will stay that way) in the town next to Mom's. Eek. Scary. She's fine, though, safe in her little house. Thank you for thinking of me! Hope all's well with you.

    I'm a big Elvis Presley fan also, because my grandfather was always a big fan and part of the reason I like Elvis Presley and the Bangles so much is because of my grandfather ( Elvis fan ) and mother ( Bangles fan ). I was exposed to their music at a young age, growing up in the '80s...

    I also like Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Celine Dion, Matchbox Twenty, Linkin Park, Carlos Santana, Usher, Jon Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Aerosmith, The Fray, Nelly Furtado, and I could go on and on and never stop.

    Basically, I love all types of music and it's difficult for me to narrow what I like down to only a few videos on my profile. I'm still working on my profile and more changes are on the way...

    I love butterflies as well, in fact I named my company after one (Rhodes Butterfly). Perhaps you'll see my designs in the LNS soon, I just returned for the Nashville Market.
